Crunchy Raw Protein Balls
These crunchy raw protein balls are by far my favorite energy snack! They are packed with nutrients and so easy to make. No cooking needed. They are raw and vegan and oh so yummy! I eat them before a workout for a boost of energy and I ll eat them as a dessert because they taste so good! I make smaller balls so that I don’t overindulge! 🙂
You can use any nut butter you prefer. If you don t have protein powder that s fine too, just put cacao powder, they ll be just as yummy.
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1 scoop raw protein powder (or raw protein powder of your choice)
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup chia seeds
- 1/4 cup raw cacao powder
- 1/2 cup organic nut butter (peanut, almond…)
- 2 tbsps. raw honey
- 2 tbsp. maple syrup-grade B or instead add a little more honey if you prefer.
- pinch of pink Himalayan salt.
If you like you can a dash of cayenne pepper just to spice it up!
Combine all the ingredients in a food processor and process until well combined and in a crumbly, paste-like consistency.
Scoop small spoonfuls and squeeze tightly in the palm of your hands and roll between the palms of your hands into a small ball shape.
Serve plain. or roll in sesame seeds, coconut flakes, chia seeds, cacao nibs.
Refrigerate and they will become firmer.
